County is easily reached via I-985, a four lane,
north/south, limited access highway originating
at I-85 in Gwinnett County and running up the
east side of Lake Lanier into North Georgia.
Tanners Creek fronts on I-985
and is directly served by Thurmon Tanner Parkway,
a four lane divided highway with a 15‚ landscaped
median.
By exiting I-985 at exit
12, Tanners Creek is a short two mile drive
via this new Parkway. Additionally, I-85, the
primary interstate highway serving the entire
eastern seaboard is only ten miles from Tanners
Creek.
