Thurmon Tanner Parkway is a 4-lane divided highway located on the east side of I-985 in southern Hall County. When all three phases of the project are completed, the new road will parallel I-985 and run from Flowery Branch (Exit 12, I-985) to Oakwood (Exit 16, I-985). Being the primary access to Tanners Creek, with Phases I and II complete, access to Tanners Creek is now exceptional. By exiting I-985 at exit 12, Tanners Creek is a short two mile drive via this new Parkway. Phase III of Thurmon Tanner Parkway is expected to begin construction in 2005.
